Fall 2010

 

The new Fall Leagues will begin at the end of September.  We are excited about some new changes that we will be implementing - so please make sure to read through this e-mail and the info on the website so you can see how we will be doing things differently.  Make sure to check out the Fall Leagues page for all the important details.

Please note that the "right of refusal" period is something new that is being instituted in order to allow teams in that particular league to have the first shot at continuing within that same league slot in the next season.  This currently applies to the teams from the Spring Sunday Features League (which ran March - May 2010 on Sunday nights at 8:30 pm) - they will have the first right of refusal for the upcoming Fall Sunday Late Features league as well as the current Summer Wednesday Features league (which is running from July - September) - they will have the first right of refusal for the upcoming Fall Wednesday Features league.  Teams from these leagues will be e-mailed the information about signing-up.

The Fall Sunday Early Features league and the Saturday Shorts league will have no right of refusal period. Priority will be given to members who are currently not in another league during the 1st week of sign-ups. An exception may be made if an “experienced” curler is playing with newer players in order to help them along.

If you’re adding a fifth, please add them when sign-ups are complete. We will not add a fifth to any team made up of individual sign-ups.

All sign-ups MUST be completed through the website sign-up form only, or they will not count.


You must pay your league fees by Cash, Check, or PayPal.

Your $40 deposit to guarantee your spot in the league is due no later than 10 days before start of that league. 

SIGN-UP PERIODS

Sign-Ups will not be done via email. There will be an online form to fill out for every member of the team.

Saturday Shorts #2

  1. -Member sign-ups begin October 1st @ noon

  2. -Open sign-ups begin October 8th @ noon


All other leagues are currently open for sign up.


LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP

December 12th will be the date of the new League Championship Tournament.

There will be 2 draws, where each Feature league winner and one wild card team will play down to determine the grand champion of the Hollywood Curling Fall leagues. There will be other matches for teams in other leagues to play each other, and we’ll also have an end of league social night. More details to come.
